Don't Fall for the "Starter Kit" Trap

Most installers quote low prices by using cheap inverters that require expensive sub-panels. We do it differently.

Born from Industry

Most residential solar companies employ technicians used to working with shingles. At Iron Sun, we come from a different world.

Founded by experienced Industrial Tradesmen, we bring heavy-construction standards to residential solar. We don't just "install" a system; we fabricate a power plant for your home.

Windsor & Essex: Common Questions

Q: I heard there is a new $10k Rebate. Should I take it?
Proceed with caution.
Accepting the new provincial rebate often disqualifies you from Net Metering.
The Trap: If you take the quick cash rebate, the utility may force you into a "Zero Export" agreement. This means you cannot sell your excess summer power to pay for winter bills.
We usually recommend Net Metering over one-time rebates for long-term savings.
Q: Why don't you use a Sub-Panel?
Because we use the Sol-Ark 15k. It has a massive "200A Pass-Through" that can handle your entire home's energy flow. Cheaper inverters (like Growatt) are too weak, forcing electricians to rewire your house and move circuits to a separate "Sub-Panel," costing you thousands in extra labour.
Q: Will this work if the Grid goes down?
Yes. Unlike standard "grid-tied" solar that turns off during a blackout, our Hybrid system switches to battery power instantly. You keep your lights, fridge, and internet running while the neighbourhood is dark.
